Mechanism of action
Ketorolac Tromethamine is a racemic mixture of the S- and R-enantiomers of ketorolac. It is a competitive inhibitor of COX enzymes, which are responsible for the conversion of arachidonic acid to prostaglandins. By inhibiting COX enzymes, ketorolac Tromethamine reduces the production of prostaglandins, leading to decreased inflammation and pain.
