HR
The relative risk of an event (progression, death) in the treatment vs. control arm.
Definition
A Hazard Ratio (HR) below 1.0 means the treatment reduces the risk of the event versus control. HR=0.5 = 50% reduction. HR=1.0 = no difference. HRs are reported with 95% confidence intervals; the upper bound below 1.0 indicates statistical significance for the survival benefit.
