Mechanism of action
The vaccine is produced in Vero cells (monkey kidney cells) and contains inactivated rabies virus antigen. Upon administration, it triggers both humoral (antibody) and cell-mediated immune responses that provide protection against rabies virus infection. The immune response generates neutralizing antibodies that prevent viral entry and spread, providing post-exposure and pre-exposure prophylaxis.
