Mechanism of action
Psyllium husk contains mucilage that forms a viscous gel when mixed with water, increasing fecal mass and promoting peristalsis. This mechanism helps normalize bowel movements in both constipation and diarrhea by regulating intestinal transit time. The orange flavoring is an organoleptic additive to improve palatability of the fiber supplement.
