Mechanism of action
Paclitaxel binds to tubulin, stabilizing microtubules and preventing their disassembly. This prevents the cell cycle from progressing, ultimately leading to cell death. Paclitaxel is often combined with platinum-based drugs to enhance its effectiveness.
