Methyl Prednisolonate
Methyl Prednisolonate is a Corticosteroid (glucocorticoid) Small molecule drug developed by Ain Shams University. It is currently FDA-approved for Inflammatory and autoimmune disorders (rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, vasculitis), Allergic reactions and asthma exacerbations, Adrenocortical insufficiency. Also known as: steroid, Depomedrol 40mg /2ml.
Methylprednisolone is a synthetic corticosteroid that suppresses the immune system and reduces inflammation by binding to glucocorticoid receptors and inhibiting pro-inflammatory cytokine production.

Mechanism of action
Methylprednisolone acts as a glucocorticoid receptor agonist, translocating to the nucleus to modulate gene expression of inflammatory mediators. It reduces the production of cytokines, chemokines, and adhesion molecules, thereby decreasing immune cell activation and migration to sites of inflammation. This broad immunosuppressive and anti-inflammatory action makes it effective across multiple inflammatory and autoimmune conditions.
