Mechanism of action
The vaccine works by training the body's immune system to recognize and attack mutant huntingtin protein or huntingtin-expressing cells, thereby reducing the pathogenic effects of the expanded CAG repeat that causes Huntington's disease. This immunotherapeutic approach aims to slow disease progression by leveraging the adaptive immune response against the disease-causing protein.
