Mechanism of action

Fiasp (insulin aspart) is a mealtime insulin that mimics the body's natural rapid insulin secretion in response to meals. It contains two excipients (niacinamide and L-arginine) that accelerate absorption from the subcutaneous injection site, allowing faster onset and earlier peak action compared to standard insulin aspart. This enables improved postprandial glucose control in patients with diabetes.
