Mechanism of action

Clobetasol propionate is a Class I (super-potent) corticosteroid that binds to glucocorticoid receptors in skin cells, suppressing inflammatory cytokine production and immune cell infiltration. When formulated as a shampoo vehicle, it provides convenient topical delivery to the scalp while maintaining the anti-inflammatory and antipruritic effects characteristic of potent corticosteroids.
