Mechanism of action
Clobetasol propionate works by binding to glucocorticoid receptors in skin cells, reducing the production of inflammatory mediators and suppressing T-cell activation. This leads to decreased inflammation, itching, and scaling associated with dermatological conditions. As a Class I (super-potent) corticosteroid, it is among the strongest topical steroids available.
