Mechanism of action

These plant-derived oils are rich in gamma-linolenic acid (GLA) and eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), which are converted to anti-inflammatory mediators that suppress pro-inflammatory cytokine production and reduce immune cell activation. The fatty acids compete with arachidonic acid metabolism, shifting the balance toward resolution of inflammation and potentially benefiting autoimmune and inflammatory conditions.
