Mechanism of action

Bioceramic sealers are composed of calcium silicates and other bioactive ceramics that undergo hydration when exposed to moisture, forming a hard, mineral-like matrix. This material bonds chemically to dentin, exhibits antimicrobial properties, and promotes periapical healing through bioactivity. The sealer is used in conjunction with gutta-percha or other core materials to obturate the root canal space.
