Mechanism of action

Aspirin irreversibly inhibits cyclooxygenase (COX) enzymes, reducing prostaglandin synthesis and providing anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and antipyretic effects. Acetaminophen inhibits COX enzymes centrally and peripherally to reduce pain and fever through a distinct mechanism. Caffeine acts as a mild central nervous system stimulant and potentiates the analgesic effects of both agents, improving pain relief efficacy.
