Pulled from USPTO patent grants + FDA Orange Book + EPO equivalents. Includes composition-of-matter, formulation, and use patents, with the patent type flagged separately.
Finding 2
66 branded drugs face cliff risk
Each tracked drug has its patent expiry, expected generic-entry date, biosimilar filings (where applicable), and most recent annual revenue cross-referenced from sponsor 10-Q filings.
Finding 3
Cross-referenced with Paragraph IV filings + biosimilar applications
Generic/biosimilar entrants identified by ANDA/BLA(351k) filings already on file at the FDA — gives a real picture of which cliffs will actually trigger competition.

Every row in the dataset is sourced from at least one of:
- FDA Drug Approvals Database (Drugs@FDA)
- Sponsor 10-Q / 10-K filings (SEC EDGAR)
- ClinicalTrials.gov NDA/BLA-filing-stage records
- EMA European Public Assessment Reports (EPARs)
- FDA Advisory Committee transcripts
