Mechanism of action

Zinc oxide is a physical (mineral) sunscreen that reflects and scatters both UVA and UVB rays. Avobenzone is a chemical sunscreen that absorbs UVA radiation, particularly in the UVA-I range. Together, they provide complementary protection across the full UV spectrum to prevent sunburn, photoaging, and skin cancer risk.
