Usage of Fibrin sealant
Usage of Fibrin sealant is a Hemostatic agent / Fibrin sealant Small molecule drug developed by Samsung Medical Center. It is currently in Phase 3 development for Hemostasis and sealing of surgical wounds, Topical bleeding control during surgical procedures, Tissue adhesion and wound healing support.
Fibrin sealant forms a hemostatic plug by combining fibrinogen and thrombin to create a cross-linked fibrin clot that seals wounds and stops bleeding.

Mechanism of action
Fibrin sealant is a topical hemostatic agent composed of fibrinogen (or fibrin) and thrombin that mimics the final stages of the coagulation cascade. When applied to a bleeding surface, thrombin converts fibrinogen into fibrin monomers, which polymerize and cross-link to form a stable clot. This provides rapid hemostasis and can also serve as a tissue adhesive and scaffold for wound healing.
