Etamin (TROLNITRATE)
Etamin (generic name: TROLNITRATE) is a Vasodilators Organic Nitrates drug. It is currently in Phase 2 development.
Etamin works by releasing nitric oxide, which relaxes blood vessel muscles and causes blood vessels to widen.
Etamin is a small molecule with the synonyms TROLNITRATE, TROLNITRATE, TROLNITRATO. It has been studied in a randomized controlled trial as part of an art education intervention, specifically cross-stitch training, to improve creativity and mindfulness in midwifery students.

Mechanism of action
When nitric oxide is released, it signals the blood vessel muscles to relax, allowing the blood vessel to widen and improve blood flow. This can help to reduce blood pressure and alleviate symptoms of conditions such as angina. The widening of blood vessels also allows more oxygen and nutrients to reach the heart muscle.
