Mechanism of action
Coumarin compounds possess anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and immunomodulatory properties that help reduce the excessive keratinocyte proliferation and inflammatory cytokine production characteristic of psoriasis. When applied topically, total coumarin extract may suppress T-cell activation and reduce inflammatory mediators in affected skin tissue, thereby improving clinical symptoms and skin barrier function.
