Mechanism of action
Toothpaste tablets are a solid, chewable form of oral hygiene product that contain similar active ingredients to conventional toothpaste, including fluoride for cavity prevention, abrasives for plaque removal, and surfactants for cleaning. When chewed and mixed with saliva, then brushed onto teeth, they deliver fluoride and mechanical cleaning action comparable to traditional paste formulations.
