Mechanism of action
Sculptra contains poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) microparticles that are injected into the dermis, where they trigger a localized inflammatory response that stimulates fibroblasts to produce new collagen over time. This process gradually fills in wrinkles and folds while improving skin quality, with results developing over several weeks to months as collagen remodeling occurs.
