Mechanism of action
Renamezin is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic that works by inhibiting bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, enzymes essential for bacterial DNA replication and transcription. This leads to disruption of bacterial cell division and death. It is effective against a broad spectrum of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria.
