Mechanism of action

Ketoprofen works by blocking the action of enzymes called cyclooxygenases, which are responsible for producing prostaglandins. Prostaglandins are hormone-like substances that cause pain, inflammation, and fever. By inhibiting these enzymes, ketoprofen reduces the production of prostaglandins, leading to decreased inflammation and pain.
