Mechanism of action
HGP0816 works by binding to the androgen receptor and recruiting it for proteasomal degradation, thereby eliminating both the protein and its transcriptional activity. This mechanism differs from traditional androgen receptor antagonists by completely removing the receptor rather than simply blocking its function, potentially overcoming resistance mechanisms seen with conventional anti-androgens.
