Mechanism of action

Vitapex is a premeasured, injectable calcium hydroxide paste combined with iodoform that is delivered through a plastic carrier into the root canal system. The calcium hydroxide component provides alkaline pH to neutralize bacterial acids and promote periapical healing, while the iodoform provides radiopacity and additional antimicrobial properties. The system allows for precise, three-dimensional obturation of the root canal space.
