Diclofenac and Atropine combination drug
Diclofenac and Atropine combination drug is a NSAID + Anticholinergic combination Small molecule drug developed by Brigham and Women's Hospital. It is currently in Phase 3 development for Abdominal pain and cramping associated with gastrointestinal disorders, Biliary or renal colic with antispasmodic benefit. Also known as: Analgesic drug, Combination drug, Test drug, Diclofenac and atropine.
This combination drug reduces inflammation and pain through COX inhibition (diclofenac) while simultaneously blocking muscarinic acetylcholine receptors (atropine) to modulate parasympathetic activity.

Mechanism of action
Diclofenac is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that inhibits cyclooxygenase (COX) enzymes, reducing prostaglandin synthesis and thereby decreasing inflammation and pain. Atropine is an anticholinergic agent that blocks muscarinic acetylcholine receptors, reducing parasympathetic effects such as smooth muscle contraction and secretions. The combination is designed to provide both anti-inflammatory analgesia and antispasmodic effects, potentially useful in conditions involving both pain/inflammation and smooth muscle dysfunction.
