Mechanism of action
The combined vaccine contains inactivated hepatitis A virus and recombinant hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg), which trigger both humoral and cellular immune responses. Upon vaccination, the immune system recognizes these antigens as foreign and generates protective antibodies and memory B cells, conferring immunity against both hepatitis A and B infections.
