Cerebrolysin

Cerebrolysin is an experimental mixture of enzymatically-treated peptides derived from pig brain, which may include brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF), glial cell line-derived neurotrophic factor (GDNF), nerve growth factor (NGF), and ciliary neurotrophic factor (CNTF). It is being studied for potential use in treating various conditions, including cognitive impairment, acute cerebral stroke, COVID-19 related anosmia and ageusia, ischemic stroke, and type 2 diabetes mellitus.
