Mechanism of action
Bisacodyl is a diphenolic laxative that acts as a contact stimulant, increasing intestinal motility and promoting bowel evacuation. PEG-CS is an osmotic agent that draws water into the intestinal lumen, softening stool and facilitating cleansing. Together, they provide both mechanical stimulation and osmotic hydration for bowel preparation.
