995,065. Retractable ball-point pens. A. J. FAGARD & CIE. Nov. 19, 1963 [May 2, 1963], No. 45567/63. Heading B6P. In a push-button actuated retractable ballpoint pen of the type wherein a turn button 26, fitted over the end 32 of the cartridge 33, is provided with ears 25 which co-operate with cam surfaces 23 provided on the push-button 19 and cam surfaces 14 provided on an internal sleeve 11 within the pen barrel 10, a sleeve element 53 encompasses the push-button 19 and moves relatively longitudinally with respect to the push-button to indicate whether or not the pen is projected or retracted. The sleeve element 53 is open at each end and is slotted at a lower portion to provide an inwardly bent tongue, the lower surface 70 of which engages with the upper surface 71 of the closed end 30 of the turn button 26 under the action of the spring 34.
