USPTO Abstract
A carrier system for a hydrophobic drug comprises (a) a digestible oil, and (b) a pharmaceutically acceptable surfactant for dispersing the oil in vivo upon administration of the carrier system. The surfactant comprises a hydrophilic surfactant component, such as a transesterification product of polyethylene glycol and glycerol esters of capric and caprylic acids, which does not substantially inhibit the lipolysis of the digestible oil.
