Novel 2-aminopyrimidinone derivatives of formula <CHEM> wherein -A<1>=A<2>-A<3>=A<4>- is -CH=CH-CH=CH-, -N=CH-CH=CH-, -CH=N-CH=CH-, -CH=CH-N=CH-, -CH=CH-CH=N-, -N=CH-N=CH-, -CH=N-CH=N-; B is NR<8>, CH2, O, S, SO or SO2; R<8> is hydrogen, C1-6alkyl, C3-6cycloalkyl, C1-6alkylcarbonyl, C1-6alkyloxycarbonyl or Ar<2>-C1-6alkyl; R<1> is hydrogen, C1-10alkyl, C3-6cycloalkyl, Ar<1>, mono- and di(Ar<1>)-C1-6alkyl, or a radical -Alk-G-R<7>; R<2>, R<3> are hydrogen or C1-6alkyl; R<4> is hydrogen, C1-6alkyl optionally substituted with Ar<2>, pyridinyl, furanyl, 5-methyl-2-furanyl or C1-6alkyloxy; R<5> is hydrogen, C1-6alkyl, C1-6alkylaminocarbonyl or Ar<2>-aminocarbonyl; R<6> is hydrogen or C1-6alkyl; or R<5> and R<6> taken together may form a bivalent radical of formula -CH2-CH2-, -CH2-CH2-CH2-, -CH=CH-, -CH=N-, -N=CH-, -N=CH-CH2-; n is 0, 1 or 2; the pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salts and possible stereochemically isomeric forms thereof; pharmaceutical compositions containing such compounds as an active ingredient and methods of preparing said compounds and pharmaceutical compositions.
