USPTO Abstract
806,284. Pocket inhalers. LAI, C. A. Aug. 2, 1956 [Nov. 14, 1955], No. 32521/55. Class 81 (2). A pocket inhaler has a screwed cap with an aperture through which the vapours may pass but which is closed, when not in use, by sealing means in the top of the medicament holder. The cap 3 is screwed to the body 1, in which the medicated pad 2 is retained by a plug 9, and an outlet aperture 4 is normally closed by a resilient plug 10. When the cap is unscrewed slightly, its lower edge uncovers ports 8, so that air can enter through these to reach the absorbent pad 2 and then pass through lateral holes 11 and out through the open hole 4.
