USPTO Abstract
453,061. Hot-water boilers. TWIGG, C. H., Aldridge Works, Aldridge Road, Perry Barr, Birmingham. March 23, 1935, No. 9083. [Class 64 (i)] In a geyser having a boiler directly heated by flames with a supporting diaphragm above it for receiving the hot water, a flue through the diaphragm is surrounded by a jacket through which water passes to the boiler. The cold water enters a pocket 9, flows through the jacket 10 and over a weir 13 into another pocket 14 and enters the boiler 16. The hot water leaves the boiler by a pipe 17, flows over the rim of the diaphragm 18, and enters a collecting space 19 before escaping for use. The boiler, diaphragm, and flue are formed as an integral and movable unit.
