USPTO Abstract

The present invention relates to a method for subjecting a subject to an augmented reality (AR) or virtual reality (VR) experience. The method comprises administering to the subject a composition comprising a cannabinoid compound, followed by using an AR or VR device to subject the subject to an AR or VR experience and detecting the subject’s response to the experience. The subject may be suffering from a mental health condition such as anxiety or post-traumatic stress disorder. Optionally the experience is based on a memory of the user. The response preferably comprises reprogramming a cell, an epigenetic modification or a change in a neural network of the subject. The method may further comprise emotional freedom technique or eye-movement desensitization and reprocessing. The cannabinoid composition comprises microcapsules comprising cannabidiol (CBD) and a terpene compound, administered either orally or topically. Also disclosed is an alternative method for subjecting the subject to an interactive experience after administering the cannabinoid composition and a system comprising one or more computer processors that are programmed to administer the AR or VR experience and to detect the subject’s response to said experience.
