USPTO Abstract
7-hydroxy-cannabidivarin (7-OH-CBDV) for use as a medicament, in particular in the treatment of epilepsy, is provided. 7-hydroxy-cannabidiol (7-OH-CBD) for use in the treatment of epilepsy is also provided. 7-OH-CBDV and 7-OH-CBD may be used in combination for use in the treatment of epilepsy. 7-OH-CBDV and/or 7-OH-CBD may be used in combination with one or more concomitant anti-epileptic drugs (AEDs), preferably selected from the group consisting of clobazam, levetiracetam, topiramate, stiripentol, Phenobarbital, lacsamide, valproic acid, zonisamide, perampanel and fosphenytoin. Preferably the dose of 7-OH-CBD and/or 7-OH-CBDV is between 1 and 2000mg/kg. When the 7-OH-CBD is used in combination with 7-OH-CBDV, the 7-OH-CBD may be formulated for administration separately, sequentially or simultaneously with the 7-OH-CBDV, or the combination may be provided in a single dosage form.
