USPTO Abstract
A guide 200 for contacting an injection device 110 with a user has a first end 210 adapted to engage a housing 112 of the injection device 110 and a second end 220 adapted to engage the surface of a user's skin and permits movement of the housing 112 towards the users skin. The guide may be a solid, with a flared portion or cylindrical with stabilizing protrusions (250, figure 4b), or formed as a frame. The internal surface may have a housing stop or ridge and may form a friction fit with the housing or comprise a ratchet mechanism (350, figure5a & 5b) which may be in two parts to enable incremental movement of the housing. Two arms (440, figure 6) may be resiliently biased towards the centre of the guide to pinch skin tissue to secure the guide in position.
