USPTO Abstract
A water- and oxygen-occlusive pack enclosing an inert atmosphere (e.g. nitrogen) containing medicinal tablets, wherein the tablets contain buprenorphine or a salt or ester thereof. The pack is preferably a blister pack and is formed from a metallic material such as aluminium foil. The construction of the pack reduces the entry of water and oxygen into the pack, and thus reduces the chemical decomposition of the medicinal tablets. A method of manufacturing the pack is also disclosed, along with additional components which may be included in the buprenorphine tablets.
