USPTO Abstract

A positioning device for the rolling of a ring 23, in particular an anti-friction bearing ring, comprises two posts (1, 2) mounted on a base plate (3) carrying a profiled roller, the posts carrying work supporting arms (12, 13) at their ends. The arms guide the ring axially while the roller advances towards a mandrel engaging the inside of the ring. The posts are both axially and radially adjustable and the arms have their end faces fitted with wear plates axially position the ring to be rolled. The arms are finely adjustable relative to the posts. <IMAGE>
