USPTO Abstract

The nose adapter is used in conjunction with a manually operated piston pump. It comprises an elongate pipe piece (1) having an inner channel (3) which has a compressible valve shaft (14) of a pump (not shown). At the upper end of the pipe piece (1) there is formed an annular, central pressure chamber (7) delimited by a disc (11). In conjunction with a jacket (12) this disc forms a button which delimits the pressure chamber (7) in the action position shown. A groove (11a) arranged on the underside of the disc (11) extends tangentially to an outlet opening (8), so that the liquid forced into the pressure chamber (7) enters the outlet opening (8) with a slight torque and emerges from this opening in the form of a fine spray mist. The nose adapter can be used as a spray head for a nose spray for the treatment of disorders inside the nose. <IMAGE>
