1508492 Stand-up bags BOWATER PACKAGING Ltd 22 April 1976 [24 April 1975] 17020/75 Heading B8K A stand-up bag comprises walls 15, 17 and a bottom gusset 11, 13 all formed of laminated sheet material having a paper or other non-heatsealable outer layer or surface 1 and an inner layer or surface 3 of heat sealable material, e.g. polythene. The gusset having applied to its edges a heat-sealable adhesive 19 whereby sealing of the bag ends and sides may be effected simultaneously. As described the adhesive 19 is polythene and is applied in an operation in which printing is applied to the layer or surface 3. Sealing of the bag may be effected by spaced pairs of rollers. The bag material may include a foil centre layer.
