1459488 Dipeptide derivative JOHN WYETH & BRO Ltd 19 March 1975 [19 March 1974] 12051/74 Heading C3H [Also in Division C2] N<SP>α</SP> - glycyl - N<SP>#</SP> - carbobenzoxy - L - lysine methyl ester is prepared by esterification of N<SP>α</SP> - glycyl - N<SP>#</SP> - carbobenzoxy - L - lysine with methanol in the presence of boron trifluoride etherate with heating at 80‹ C. for 25 hours. The ester is isolated as its hydrochloride (Example 1).
