1308191 Thiochromans SCIENCE UNION ET CIE SOC FRANCAISE DE RECHERCHE MEDICALE 19 April 1971 [6 April 1970] 16118/70 Heading C2C Compounds of Formula (I) and their salts, (wherein A is H or halogen, R 1 is H or 1-5 C alkyl and R 2 is 1-5 C alkyl or 3-6 C cycloalkyl) are prepared by reacting 1-chloro-2,3- epoxypropane, with a compound (II) and then reacting the product, a 2,3-epoxy propyloxy thiochroman, with R 2 NH 2 . Pharmaceutical compositions in forms suitable for oral, parenteral and rectal administration are useful as beta-adrenergic blocking agents.
