1,258,394. Hair - restorer. STRUTHERS SCIENTIFIC & INTERNATIONAL CORP. 15 Jan., 1969 [17 Jan., 1968], No. 2647/68. Heading A5B. Compositions for the treatment of senile alopecia (idiopathic premature baldness) by topical application to the scalp comprise 2-8% by weight of one or more steroids selected from: testosterone and its esters and ethers, testolactone, l-testosterone and dihydrotestosterone dissolved, emulsified or dispersed in a cosmetically acceptable carrier which consists mainly of a major proportion of alcohol and/or wax with or without water or water with an oil phase dispersed therein.
