1,227,692. 1 - Glycosyl - 5 - azacytosines. CESKOSLOVENSKA AKADEMIE VED. 8 May, 1969 [12 Nov., 1968], No. 23626/69. Heading C2C. 1-Glycosyl.5.azacytosines of the general formula wherein R is a glycosyl residue, R<SP>2</SP> is a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group and R<SP>3</SP> and R<SP>4</SP> are each a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group or an aralky] group, are prepared by reaction of a per-acylglycosyl isocyanate of the general formula R<SP>5</SP>-N=C=O, wherein R<SP>5</SP> is a per-acylglycosyl residue, with an acylguanidine of the general formula and subjection of the resulting l-(per-acylglycosyl)-5.azacytosine of the general formula to alcoholysis or ammonolysis.
