[Also in Division C6] Complex iron salts are obtained by reacting an iron salt of an unsaturated dicarboxylic acid (with up to 6 C atoms) with alkali metal or alkaline earth metal salts of carboxylic acids such as sodium nitrate or sodium glycinate. Ferrous fumarate is an example and the components are mixed in finely ground form and 5-8% of water added.
