[Also in Division B8] A collapsible tube 5 has its screwed cap replaced by a hollow stopper 1 into which a spreader 6 is inserted. The spreader 6 consists of a pad 7, e.g. of polyvinyl foam, secured to a gripping means 6a. Part of the tube contents, e.g. shoe polish, can be squeezed through the tube neck 4 on to the pad 7 of the spreader 6 which is then removed to apply the polish &c.
