The present invention relates to a multi-dose dispensing device filled with a preservative-free ophthalmic composition comprising a carbonic anhydrase inhibitor, characterized in that the composition remains microbiologically acceptable during use for a long period, of at least 90 days after the first opening of the container, and wherein said microbiological acceptability is assessed in a microbiological test comprising repeated microbial challenge with four microorganisms consisting of one gram-negative bacterium, one gram-positive bacterium, one fungus of the Aspergillus genus and Candida albicans.
