USPTO Abstract
The invention relates to a torsion spring-driven injection device for delivering defined doses of a liquid medicament, wherein a torsion spring is biased by the rotation of a rotary dose-setting structure and released by proximal movement. a piston rod driving device. The dose setting structure is coupled to a drive member which is rotated during the dose setting and which drive member is released during dosing thereby to rotate the piston rod driver. The piston rod driving device is further coupled to the piston rod to generate rotation and, therefore, forward movement of the piston rod. The drive member and the piston rod driver are coupled to each other by tooth engagement which is operative both during dose adjustment and during dose expulsion.
