The methods may employ inexpensive starting materials and the preparation processes for intermediates are simple and highly reproducible. Novel intermediates for the preparation of netupitant and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof are also disclosed. Amorphous netupitant and methods of making same are disclosed.
