The invention refers to a topical composition and to its use for the prophylaxis and the treatment of defects connected to inflammatory dermopathies. Particularly, the invention pertains to a topical composition comprising at least an alum, 18-β-glycyrrhetic acid and/or one derivative thereof, and vitamin A and/or one derivative thereof, and the use of such composition for the prophylaxis and the treatment of inflammatory dermopathies, preferably of the seborrhoeic dermatitis and of those affections in which the presence of an excess of sebum occurs.
